Manipura Chakra

Posted on August 25, 2015

The third chakra is called Manipura, which means “city of gems”. This chakra is located at the solar plexus, just below the diaphragm.

This chakra is related to the element of fire, to the aspects of personality, form, vision, and color. The sense is sight and the organ is the eyes. The chakra has ten petals, and corresponds to the lower emotional center of the human machine.

The psychological defect that blocks Manipura is anger. The reflection for this chakra is “the word is sexual”.

Meditating on this chakra, vocalize the vowel UUU (rhyming with “mood”), and the mantra RAM. Use this to energize this chakra and to investigate anger within your psychology.
