Hail Mary

The Hail Mary prayer, famously the Ave Maria in Latin, is a traditional Catholic prayer with deep roots in the ancient gnostic tradition.

Mary is an embodiment of the Divine Mother, and a spiritual master in her own right.

RAM I O is a mantra from the Egyptian tradition, used to call upon the universal cosmic aspect of the Divine Mother.

The Divine Mother in the Kabbalistic sense is Binah, the Holy Breath, who is born from Chokmah the cosmic Christ. She is born from Him, and in turn gives birth to Him.

The Divine Mother has the power to dissolve our psychological defects, which we have previously meditated upon and repented for.

She is the substrate of creation, and therefore has the power to extract the trapped essence from ego and dismantle the egoic structures which cause so much suffering.

The death of the psychological defects is a moment of great celebration because it means liberation from unconsciousness and greater capacity for love.

Samael Aun Weor notes in his book the Virgin of Carmel, “This prayer, and the Our Father, must be said by all gnostics before going to bed, or in moments of danger.”

Hail Mary, RAM I O

Full of grace

The Lord is with You

Blessed are You among women

And blessed is the fruit of Your womb, Yeshua

Holy Mary, Mother of God

Pray for us sinners, those who have the sinning ‘I’

Now and at the hour of the death of our defects.

Amen.
