Vishuddha Chakra

Posted on August 25, 2015

The fifth chakra is called Vishuddha , which means “pure”. This chakra is located at the throat and the thymus gland.

This chakra is related to the element of ether, to the aspects of knowledge and creative capacity, to the sense of hearing and the ears. The chakra has sixteen petals, and corresponds to the movement center of the human machine.

The psychological defect that blocks Vishuddha is lying. The reflection for this chakra is “it is as bad to speak when we should remain silent as it is to remain silent when we should speak”.

Meditating on this chakra, vocalize the vowel E (rhyming with “play”), and the mantra HAN. Use this to energize this chakra and to investigate lying within your psychology.
