At the heart of gnosis is the essence of the soul. All religions, spiritual traditions, philosophies, and mythologies contain the mysteries of the spirit, and the soul that is lost in matter.
Our essence is as precious as gold, and is interwoven as a delicate filagree in our physical and psychological lives. Our essence contains the key, via the consciousness, of reconnecting the soul to God, the inner Being.
The awakened consciousness as a faculty of the essence, brings us to the truth. But this is not an easy process, and requires infinite patience and fortitude to carefully extract that filagree essence from the tangle of identification in the ego and personality.
Our Father in heaven is perfect, and still He feels the pain of the essence in this state. These particles of pain pray for us to recognize the unity of soul and spirit that is our birthright.
Our Father prays for our essence as we pray to Him to help us unify with His will, to forgive so that we may be forgiven.
