Heavy Matter

“In the final synthesis, each one of us is nothing more than an atom from the Abstract Absolute Space, which is the interior atomic star that has always smiled upon us.
A certain author has said: ‘I raise my eyes towards the utmost, towards the stars, from which, for me, all help has to come, but I always follow the inner star which guides my interior.’”
-Samael Aun Weor, Cosmic Teachings of a Lama

Creation

The process of creation is that of multiplication. As the unity of the Absolute descends into creation it necessitates an increase in complexity and density. The single atom of the Absolute replicates into many, so that the created may provide a mirror for the creator to know itself.

Eventually the created proceeds throughout the cycle of creation to return to the primordial creator, from multiplicity to unity.

At the nadir of the density of creation, the weight and complication become untenable and the created is in danger of forgetting its origin and become lost in material complexity.

The universe is composed of substances and forces

“Ordinary chemistry does not know of the Law of Trinity. Therefore, it studies the matter without taking into account its cosmic properties. However, another chemistry apart from the ordinary one exists. This is a special chemistry that we can call alchemy, which is a chemistry that studies matter by taking into account its cosmic properties. The cosmic properties of every substance are firstly determined by the place that this substance occupies and, secondly, by the force that acts through it in a given moment.
Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff

In modern science, substance is understood by the static qualities and quantities of the known elements. The period table of the elements organizes matter into varying densities, starting with the simplest and lightest element, hydrogen, all the way to more complex elements discovered only in recent years.

As the consciousness moves deeper into material reality and away from the spiritual it sinks into the denser aspects of creation. As creation sinks more into materialism, the heavier parts of reality, depicted in the Klipoth of the tree of life, become apparent to us. This is why scientists were able to discover the heavier elements of the periodic table- the consciousness of humanity is vibrating on a heavier level.

Neptunium, first synthesized in 1940, corresponds to the sphere of Neptune, the Kabbalistic sphere in the deepest level of creation.

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. It is also the smallest and most simple element, containing one proton, one neutron, and one electron. In this way, hydrogen is a building block where all the matter in the universe is composed of ‘hydrogens’.

According to esoteric science, an atom of hydrogen contains matter, energy and consciousness.

Esoteric science uses the table of hydrogens to evaluate and understand matter in form and function. This table is based on twelve categories of matter, and from these twelve categories derive the secondary hydrogens whose density ranges from 6 to 12,283.

“It is absolutely clear that the proton is the basic nucleus of hydrogen; that is, the most central part of the lightest and simplest of all the known elements. There exist twelve fundamental hydrogens, corresponding to twelve categories of matter that are contained in the universe from the Absolute to the hell worlds, symbolized by Dante in his Divine Comedy and which are located in the submerged Mineral Kingdom, in the interior of the earth.”
– Samael Aun Weor, The Solar Bodies

Esoteric Chemistry

“The nature of any given substance, though occupying the very same place, can suffer a great change. This change depends on the force that is manifesting itself through it.
Each substance can be the conductor of the three forces. Thus, the substance can be active, passive or neutral”
-Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff

There are four chemical substances to represent primary forces:

Carbon = the active force.
Oxygen = the negative force.
Nitrogen = the neutral, or reconciling force.
Hydrogen = an absence of force.

Table of Hydrogens

The table of hydrogens represents different categories of matter, corresponding to the Kabbalistic tree of life. The general idea is that matter can be heavier or more rarified. The various densities coexist within us and within the universe.

The universe, and humanity as a part of it, is not a closed system, there is the possibility of transforming the heavy matter into rarified, or spiritual matter.

In the following table, H stands for hydrogen. H12 is the most important substance for spiritual transformation.

H1: The Absolute
H6: the material which composes the higher solar bodies
H12: reproductive substance, the seed of the soul, the sexual essence
H24: psychic material, astral substance
H48: energy and physical matter, impressions, the endocrine system
H96: rarified gasses, x-rays, hormones*
H192: air
H384: water
H768: food
H1536: piece of wood
H3072: iron

Energetically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, we can vibrate at the level of a piece of wood or the Absolute. It depends on the application of spiritual work.

Atomic Seeds

Any Mahatma knows very well that before entering into the Absolute, the Solar Bodies must be dissolved. It is obvious that four atom-seeds remain from these Christic vehicles. It is indubitable that such atom-seeds correspond to the physical, astral, mental, and causal bodies. It is obvious that the four atom-seeds are absorbed within the super divine Atom, the Ain Soph Paranishpanna, along with the Essence, spiritual principles, laws, and the three primary forces. Afterwards, the profound night of the Mahapralaya arrives.

The Ain Soph without intimate Self-realization does not possess the four atom-seeds; it is just a simple atom of the Abstract Absolute Space. That is all. In Alchemy, the letter ‘C’ symbolizes the Conscious Body of Willpower, it is the carbon of occult chemistry. In Alchemy, the letter ‘O’ symbolizes the Solar Mental Body that was built in the forge of the Cyclops, the oxygen of sacred chemistry. In Alchemy, the letter ‘N’ symbolizes the authentic Solar Astral Body, which is very different from the body of desires. It is obvious that the legitimate sidereal body is the nitrogen of occult chemistry. In Alchemy, the ‘H’ symbolizes the physical body, the three-dimensional vehicle of flesh and bones.

We do not exaggerate if we emphasize the Alchemist’s transcendental idea that an Ain Soph Paranishpanna atom possesses within itself the four atom seeds: carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. With these four Alchemical atoms, the Ain Soph Paranishpanna rebuilds the Mercabah, the chariot (the Solar Bodies), in order to enter into any universe when it is necessary. Let us not forget that Mercabah is the chariot of the centuries, the heavenly human being of the Kabbalah.
