A Day is a Life

Posted on July 5, 2025

Every day is a microcosm of our life. In the morning when we wake up we are born. The day unfolds with all of our various activities and within that we try always to raise our level of being.

At the end of the day the night closes in and we recline and enter into the astral realm. The transition from wakefulness to sleep is usually unconscious but if we can remain vigilant then we experience the tremendous reality of the consciousness leaving the physical body to enter the astral. The nighttime dream work is also a practice for death when the consciousness leaves this physical body for good.

At the end of the day we go to sleep, and wake up again the next morning. Perhaps remembering the astral experiences, perhaps not.

One life, many days that make up that life.

By this same spirit we have one continuous existence made up of many lives. We may remember our previous lives, or not, but the key is to be conscious at every moment.

At the end of the day let us self reflect on the day in meditation. Where did we fall into error, into the habitual patterns of the ego? When did we remember ourselves, remembering our inner Being in the moment while observing the mechanicity of the mind, emotions, and actions?

At the end of our life we must reflect on all of our actions and take responsibility. Each lifetime is an opportunity to awaken, we can take advantage of this!

The Wheel Turns

Everything repeats and returns. This is the mystery of the Buddhist wheel of Samsara, the famous Wheel of Fortune:

What we leave off for tomorrow we have to eventually face. What we do this lifetime we eventually have to pay for.

Difficult Topics

There is no escaping the reality of death. And there is no escaping the reality of rebirth, until the process of the three mountains of mastery is complete. Therefore to take refuge in death before our time is simply giving into despair and creating the circumstances that we will have to face again and again until we resolve it.

This means that to end one’s life prematurely will not solve the problem of our suffering. Death occurs with the consent of the angels of the ray of death, our inner Being and Divine Mother, and in accordance with the masters of the law of karma and our own destiny.

If in a given day we decide to give up, that the suffering is too much to bear, most of the time we wake up the next morning and perhaps have another chance at hope. But to despair day after day compounds our troubles because whatever we try to avoid we have to face eventually.

To despair to the point of suicide unfortunately only perpetuates more despair, until eventually we can transform that fear and dread into trust, hope, love, and faith.

On the opposite pole of premature death is trying to artifically extend life to avoid death. This is also out of sorts with the natural laws, and is not an embrace of life but attachment to material sensation and a fear of death.

Death can come at any moment, what is important is where is our consciousness.

Trying to Control

We cannot control anything in this world. Attempting to control our outer circumstances or other people always causes problems and never works anyway. Trying to control the great phenomena of life is based in ignorance of natural and cosmic laws.

Materialistic technology promises control through overcoming not only the pain of life and the uncertainty of death, but also everything related to the mysteries of sex, gestation, and birth. These are all natural laws given to us by the divine. Our job is to contemplate the mysteries of birth, life, and death, not to assert our own will over these things.

In the end there is no perfect technology that can avoid the terrible failures that occur when we try to bend the laws of nature.

Solutions: Prayer and Meditation

If we despair in this moment then we need prayer and meditation to connect to the divine and to learn to have a serene mind. Any decisions we make for what we do in this life must be accompanied by consulting the highest, the consciousness we still have within, trapped within the ego.

If we fear the unknown then we must reflect on lack of trust, hope, and faith. How can we act in the world to bring more trust and hope to others? This can help dissolve fear.

All of the masters have taught that true change comes from within. It is best we learn that lesson today.
