Program of Study

The Olympia Gnostic Center is part of the worldwide Gnostic Society Samael Aun Weor. This organization offers freely the universal teachings of Gnosis to all sincere seekers.

The program is a didactic to help us understand and work with the psychological teachings of objective self-knowledge. This program has several levels of deepening study.

The first chamber is a series of lectures on psychology and basic esotericism along with simple meditation practices. Here the teachings introduce Gnosis as the knowledge that saves from ignorance. The emphasis of the classes is to facilitate a study of oneself from one’s own consciousness, also called the essence, soul embryo, or buddhata. We begin to recognize through direct experience that our consciousness is in deep sleep, and therefore the need to awaken.

With consistent attendance the student will be offered invitations to continue on to deeper levels of study, and eventually to a preparation for the meditation chamber. This part of the program also has lectures but the focus is on meditation practice and the science of awakening.

The practices allow the sincere seeker of Gnostic wisdom and self-knowledge to enter the path the razor’s edge, and walk it with the clear and well-defined objectives of psychological death and the awakening of consciousness.

We learn the techniques of concentration, meditation, silencing the mind, developing higher faculties such as imagination and intuition. We learn the practices of expanding and awakening consciousness, experiencing the greater reality of our Being, knowing ourselves, and dissolving psychological defects such as greed, anger, self importance, and laziness.

In summary, Gnostic Meditation is practiced to directly experience the Mysteries.

“The mystical experience of the Illuminating Void is always realized outside of the intellectual field. Drink the wine of meditation in the delicious cup of Perfect Concentration.
